"I came to NZ as an 18 year-old on that last voyage of the Hobson. As a
professional writer, I am just beginning a memoir which will include some
account of that trip."
In reply to my email, Mr Temple mentioned that he had met Rhys Jones onboard
the Captain Hobson:
"You may remember him on TV here years ago when he was one of the front
people on Auckland's Town and Around. He spent a lot of time in Australia
and elsewhere but has been back in Auckland for a while."
I certainly do remember him as we were living in Hamilton when Town and Around
was showing.
